About this role

As a key member of the Qantas Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance across our operations. With a strong background in aviation management or safety, you will be responsible for leading and executing audits, safety reviews, and assurance activities to drive continuous improvement and ongoing compliance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and execute audits and safety reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the Qantas Group to identify and mitigate risks, and implement processes to optimize safety and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including operational teams, management, and regulatory bodies.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on safety management systems, risk management, and compliance.
  • Analyze data and insights to inform decision-making and drive business improvement.

What you'll need

  • Strong background in aviation management or safety, with a focus on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Proven experience in leading audits, safety reviews, and assurance activities, with a strong track record of driving improvement and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive business improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
