**Rehabilitation Medicine Trainee Opportunity**

Are you a motivated and skilled medical professional looking to develop your skills in Rehabilitation Medicine? Do you have a passion for providing consultative rehabilitation services to patients? We are seeking an Advanced Trainee in Rehabilitation Medicine to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in general principles of Rehabilitation Medicine, perform comprehensive Rehabilitation Assessments, and care for patients referred to the Department of Rehabilitation. You will work closely with supervising Specialists to provide a consultative rehabilitation service to inpatients and outpatients.

As a Rehabilitation Medicine Trainee, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a consultative rehabilitation service to inpatients and outpatients within the facilities of the district, in conjunction with supervising Specialists.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of a goal-oriented Rehabilitation plan and coordinating Rehabilitation treatment at facilities within the Rehabilitation Networks as well as referral to other facilities as required.
  • Gaining experience in general principles of Rehabilitation Medicine and performing comprehensive Rehabilitation Assessment and care of patients referred to the Department of Rehabilitation.

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification.
  • Currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • At least 3 years postgraduate medical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and interest in Rehabilitation Medicine.
  • Demonstrated excellent clinical skills, judgment, and expertise.
  • Demonstrated teamwork within a multi-disciplinary team, time management, and problem-solving skills in a complex clinical environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Preparedness and ability to work independently in a supervised environment.
  • Demonstrated interest and willingness to teach Junior Medical Staff and undertake research.
