Toora Women Inc is a leading not-for-profit organisation providing safe and respectful support to women in the ACT and surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower women who have experienced domestic and family violence, homelessness, and other complex issues.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to oversee our Domestic Violence and Homelessness team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day direction and support to designated staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring the delivery of services that meet the needs of our clients.
- Manage daily referrals to residential and outreach programs, ensuring that clients receive the support they need.
- Oversee comprehensive client assessments and case management, ensuring that services are delivered in a trauma-informed and feminist framework.
- Ensure that the service operates within organisational and service policies and procedures, with a focus on professional boundaries and reducing the risks of vicarious trauma.
- Support professional case management best practice, which is consistent with a model of care and includes the scope of approved intervention methods.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the community sector, with a focus on domestic violence and homelessness.
- Experience of working with women with high and complex needs, particularly with homelessness, AOD, mental health, sexual assault, domestic violence, incarceration, and women from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to lead a team with well-developed interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High level service delivery skills in trauma-informed case management within a feminist framework.
- 5 weeks annual leave.
