Job Opportunity

The Principal Analyst, Stress Testing role is a key position in delivering stress testing services with a focus on the banking industry.

This analyst will collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to provide high-quality analysis and reporting that identifies actionable insights for internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver advanced analytical reports and recommendations to APRA's senior management and risk specialists
  • Collaborate with industry experts to design and deliver stress test results
  • Prepare detailed reports of stress testing insights for internal and external stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across APRA, including supervisors and risk specialists
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging risks that may impact the financial system
  • Provide expertise on stress testing to inform APRA's core functions, including supervisory assessments and macroprudential policy
  • Communicate stress testing plans and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop improvements to APRA's stress testing methodology and processes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in stress testing methodology and processes
  • Working knowledge of APRA's prudential framework and associated financial and non-financial risks
  • Advanced data analysis and technical capabilities, including financial analysis and modeling
  • Strong problem-solving skills and project management experience
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Prior experience with R and Power BI is advantageous
