Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our Asset Design team. This position will be responsible for delivering design documentation and cost estimates on assigned Capital works projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site investigations and prepare preliminary designs and reports in line with investigation requirements.">
  • Prepare detailed documentation for tender and construction, including drawings and specifications.">
  • Develop cost estimates related to design documentation and project budget.">
  • Build strong working relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders.">
  • Participate in relevant meetings and committees to discuss project progress and objectives.">
  • Respond to questions, requests, issues, and concerns related to projects being delivered by the team.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.">
  • Hold a C Class Driver's Licence (Provisional P2 minimum).">
  • Hold WHS construction induction (White Card) certification.">
  • Have a minimum of 3 years' industry experience working at the level of professional engineer in the field of design.">
  • Be skilled in areas of survey, analysis, design, and documentation of civil infrastructure.">
  • Have experience in the application of current Australian Standards, particularly TfNSW, AUSTROADS, AUS-SPEC, and Australian Rainfall and Runoff.">
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of civil engineering software programs, such as 12D, AutoCad, AutoTurn, ParkCAD, DRAINS, and HEC-RAS.">
  • Have well-developed knowledge of construction cost estimating and extraction of quantities for civil infrastructure projects.">
  • Be able to prepare REFs (Review of Environmental Factors) for design projects in accordance with EP&A Act of 1979.">
  • possess strong written and verbal communication skills.">
