Australian Visa Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Australian visa specialist to join our team. As an Australian visa specialist, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on suitable visa options and assessing their eligibility based on their unique personal and professional circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on the most appropriate visa categories and assess their eligibility for various visas, including employer-sponsored visas, partner visas, skilled visas, and subsequent entrant visas.
  • Prepare, organise, and submit complete visa applications in accordance with Department of Home Affairs requirements, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and that applications are submitted accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage ongoing communication with the Department of Home Affairs, responding to requests, monitoring application statuses, and providing timely updates to clients.
  • Assist clients in visa appeal or review processes before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), including preparing arguments and supporting documents.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Australian migration laws, policy updates, and procedural changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice is provided to clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience as a Registered Migration Agent.
  • Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice.
  • Successful completion of the Capstone Assessment.
  • Current registration with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
  • In-depth understanding of visa categories, migration legislation, and Department of Home Affairs procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of skills assessment processes across various professions and industries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Fluent in Spanish (preferably).
  • Strong Academic and Social intelligence.
