About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our busy team environment as a Payroll Manager. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for delivering quality customer service through processing and preparing accurate and confidential payroll services in accordance with relevant industrial awards, workplace agreements, and legislation.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will drive payroll governance and compliance to support the identification and resolution of payroll risks and issues. You will also explore and seek continuous improvement opportunities, effectively communicate ideas, and develop and execute internal compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll audit requirements and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement processes to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide guidance and support to payroll staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll
  • Manage leave liability reconciliations and monthly journal allocations
  • Prepare termination and redundancy calculations as required
  • Handle staff queries regarding payroll and HR
About You

We are seeking a highly experienced Payroll Manager with a strong knowledge of payroll processes, awards, and EBA's. You will have excellent organizational skills, a hands-on and proactive attitude, and the ability to mentor, train, and lead a team of payroll officers.
