Key Position: ICT Procurement and Contract Officer

Job Summary:

Eden Ritchie seeks a highly skilled ICT procurement and contract officer to lead the management of ICT procurement processes. This role is part of the procurement and contract management team, working closely with departments to provide best practice procurement and contracts management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes for ICT related procurement activities and projects
  • Provide high-level ICT procurement and contract management advice and services to business areas
  • Deliver high-quality ICT procurement and contract management documentation and processes in line with government procurement policy
  • Develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, establish standing offer arrangements, and panel arrangements
  • Provide timely, professional, and strategic procurement advice to clients, senior management, and suppliers on procurement processes and practices
  • Establish and implement a forward procurement plan across ICT procurement activities, conduct complex ICT procurement planning, and develop high-level strategies
  • Ensure compliant and competitive proposals, manage risk, conduct contract negotiations, and prepare briefing notes, correspondence, and sourcing documentation
  • Maintain detailed documentary records of procurement processes and decisions ensuring an audit trail is adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability, and audit purposes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience undertaking ICT procurement and contract management within a public sector context
  • Demonstrated high-level experience in developing and delivering ICT sourcing and procurement strategies
  • Strong understanding of government procurement policy and associated procurement and contract management frameworks, guides, and procedures
  • Extensive experience developing, administering, and managing QITC/GITC contracts
  • Demonstrated high-level conceptual and analytical skills as evidenced through the ability to initiate and coordinate research and develop innovative solutions
