Senior ICT Sourcing Lead

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior ICT Sourcing Lead to drive the future of ICT sourcing in Queensland.

The successful candidate will oversee a high-performing team, ensuring procurement service delivery aligns with agreed service levels, business objectives, and government policies.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to establish procurement strategies, provide expert advice, and maintain a high-level knowledge of whole-of-government and departmental policies, procedures, and standards relevant to the ICT Sourcing function.

You will be responsible for leading effectively, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to our vision to be the digital partner of choice in the Queensland Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of analysis and procurement planning, category management, tender development, release and closure, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, contract drafting, and contract management plans and mediation.
  • Collaboration with the Manager to develop service provisions to meet stakeholder needs and develop appropriate resourcing levels and accompanying training needs required to meet demand.
  • Conducting and coordinating the sourcing and contract process for ITP's hardware and software services, including the development and maintenance of Standing Offer Arrangements.
  • Identifying and implementing operational efficiencies to enhance service delivery, while leading or contributing to projects and initiatives that support ITP in achieving its responsibilities.
  • Fostering a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing, promoting a positive workplace culture that upholds ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity.
Requirements:
  • Hold, or successfully obtain within 12 months of appointment, a Level 3 or higher Queensland Government Procurement certification.
  • Sound understanding of procurement service delivery and experience in applying procurement-related policies, procedures, or frameworks, preferably in a complex public sector or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Professional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Lay claim to the legal right to live and work in Australia.

Essential requirements include a keen eye for detail, great time management, effective problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.
