Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Professional Standards and Policy Officer to join our team. This is a full-time ongoing role based out of one of our offices in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney or Brisbane, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement allowing for 1-2 days per week in the office.

About You
  • A qualification in public policy, law, political science or a related field
  • Experience in policy, research or advisory work (health, education or membership organisations an advantage)

You will be responsible for researching and drafting standards, guidelines and policies, as well as coordinating input from committees and stakeholders. Your strong research and writing skills will enable you to prepare clear and accurate documents. You should also have experience managing competing deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Researching and drafting standards, guidelines and policies
  2. Preparing submissions, briefing papers and agendas
  3. Supporting consultation processes by gathering and collating feedback
  4. Monitoring changes in surgical practice, health policy and professional standards
  5. Coordinating projects to meet agreed timelines and reporting needs
