Medical Director, Australia

BeiGene is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our medical affairs team in Australia. As a key member of our global medical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership, governance, and oversight for our medical team in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide medical leadership and guidance to our medical team in Australia, ensuring that they are equipped to provide high-quality medical support to our customers.
- Develop and implement local medical plans and strategies that align with our global objectives and are tailored to the needs of the Australian market.
- Collaborate with our global medical leadership team to ensure that our medical plans and strategies are aligned and effective.
- Provide medical governance and oversight to ensure that our medical activities are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory authorities.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical and scientific developments in the field of hematology and oncology, and apply this knowledge to inform our medical plans and strategies.
- MD or equivalent international qualifications or experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on Medical Affairs, and a proven track record in oncology.
- At least 5 years of global and/or regional experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in Hematology/Oncology and product launch experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to present complex information to various audiences.
- A deep understanding of the ANZ medical landscape, including specific knowledge of medical practices, systems, pricing, reimbursement, and other regulations.
- A record of building and leveraging scientific and professional relationships.
- Experience in negotiating effectively with external and internal stakeholders.
