Rehabilitation specialists in workplace health, injury management and safety deliver high-standard services. The team focuses on recovery and function to get clients back to work and life.

As an ADF Rehabilitation Specialist, you'll support ADF personnel with physical and/or psychological injuries using clinical reasoning skills. A unique role with meaningful rewards and purpose.

  • Taking a holistic care approach, work with multidisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation journey
  • Perform assessments depending on clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite or activities of daily living assessments
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including employees, medical specialists, treatment providers and allied health professionals
  • Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans

KPIs based on service delivery outcomes, not billable hours. Genuine person-centred focus and goal setting.

Set working hours ensure WORK/LIFE balance – no overtime or outside work hours. Enjoy early starts and finishes: 7:30am–3:30pm on base at ACT Health Centre at Duntroon. Part-time options may be considered. Hybrid work arrangements available.

You'll be supported and mentored through direct interaction and extensive onboarding process to build technical knowledge and expertise.

Success Factors:

  • Current registration or membership with relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Strong clinical reasoning
  • Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate
  • Occupational rehabilitation experience highly regarded
