Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Work Health and Safety (WHS) professional to join our team. As a WHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of our work health and safety policy and standards across all our Australian activities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in audit and incident management processes and systems. You will also possess superior organisational skills and excellent attention to detail, as well as highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Implement the QinetiQ Australia Safety Management System.
  2. Presentation of full and accurate picture of QinetiQ Australia WHS performance for senior management review and action.
  3. Provide specialist WHS advice and support to all levels within the organisation.
  4. Oversight and guidance for the training and development of those in critical safety roles.
Requirements
  • An appropriate bachelor's degree or equivalent nationally recognised professional qualification.
  • Substantial post-qualification experience in the work, health and safety leadership in the defence industry or similar high-risk engineering/industrial related industry.
