The ideal candidate will provide expert clinical care, education, and support to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
  • Provide education and support for patients, including providing information on cancer treatment and supportive medication administration.
  • Facilitate effective communication with medical officers, patient services staff, and other members of the nursing team.
  • Monitor and maintain procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice medical oncology nursing standards.
  • Establish communication for allied health services using ISBAR communication tool to all allied health services along with supported documented evidence.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to demonstrate empathy for patients.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care.
  • Interest in continuing your professional development.
