Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute expertise and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice.
  • Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions.
  • Patient assessment, observation and education including expert management of treatment-related side effects.
  • Inserting and caring for peripheral and central access devices.
  • Assist doctors with procedures and provide pre- and post-procedure care and education.
  • Maintain and update patient written and electronic records.
  • Provide emotional support to patients, families and carers.
