The Civil Industry is busier than ever, and we are seeking a qualified trainer to support the ongoing growth and success of our market and industry leading RTO.

Responsibilities
  • Metro-based full-time apprenticeship and short course trainer/assessor
  • Regional-based casual apprenticeship and/or short course trainer/assessor
Qualifications

Ideally, you will have training experience with:

  • Civil construction/plant operations apprenticeships & traineeships (Certificate III level - General/Pipe Laying)
  • Range of civil short courses, including but not limited to:
    • Confined Spaces
    • Trenching and Shoring
    • EWP
    • Traffic Management
    • Spotters
  • Or any other industry leading qualifications or courses

Requirements
  • A minimum five (5) years industry experience in a civil construction industry sector
  • Evidence of current industry skills, knowledge, and experience
  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or other TAE qualifications will be looked upon favourably
Key Skills and Experience
  • The ability to plan, develop, and evaluate training and assessment tools
  • An extensive knowledge of competency based training as it relates to the civil construction industry
  • Experience in online training platforms
  • A thorough understanding of apprenticeship and trainee delivery requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Understanding of the ASQA, AQTF, and RTO guidelines and audit compliance requirements
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience using Student Management Systems, particularly VETtrak
