Lead Education Reform Director

SA's Department for Education is seeking an exceptional Director to lead a large, multi-disciplinary workforce of over 500 employees. The role entails driving strategic reform and overseeing clinical governance across allied health services and school mental health services to ensure every child receives tailored support.

Job Description:

The Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to large teams with over 500 employees statewide. Student Support Services deliver high-quality, culturally responsive services to schools, preschools, and young people. The role includes shaping and delivering the Division's strategic agenda, collaborating with agencies for integrated service delivery, and coordinating with Local Education Teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strategic Leadership: Proven experience leading complex organizations and mentoring multidisciplinary teams.
  • Clinical Governance: Strategic oversight of clinical governance frameworks for allied health services.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and engagement skills to collaborate effectively across diverse groups.
  • Cultural Inclusivity: Commitment to promoting culturally inclusive workplaces through ongoing cultural awareness development.
  • Systems Knowledge: Sound understanding of economic, industrial, legal, social, and cultural environments impacting education systems.
