Director, Student Support Services

We are seeking an exceptional leader to drive strategic reform and lead a large multi-disciplinary workforce with over 500 FTE across the state. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring every child—especially our most vulnerable—gets the tailored support they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading allied health/educator workforce design and change management in large organizations. They will also possess strong communication and engagement skills to collaborate effectively across diverse groups and drive successful outcomes.

The role requires strategic leadership of the specialist educator workforce and clinical governance for allied health and school mental health services. The successful candidate will ensure safe, effective service delivery to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic reform and drive change management in a large multi-disciplinary workforce.
  • Ensure every child gets the tailored support they need to succeed.
  • Strategically lead the specialist educator workforce and clinical governance for allied health and school mental health services.
  • Collaborate effectively across diverse groups to drive successful outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Proven experience leading allied health/educator workforce design and change management in large organizations.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills to collaborate effectively across diverse groups.
  • Ability to direct and mentor multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
  • Commitment to promoting culturally inclusive workplaces through ongoing cultural awareness development.
