Role Overview:
Family Support SpecialistWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Family Support Specialist to join our team. As a Family Support Specialist, you will work closely with families to empower them and build their capacity to overcome identified challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet performance targets by working collaboratively with clients to achieve set goals.
- Provide high-quality practice in all interactions with clients, ensuring consistency with our organisational values and vision.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, fostering trust and respect through regular communication.
- Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, supporting internal and external partnerships.
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a performance-driven environment, meeting individual performance targets.
- Strong understanding of family dynamics and the ability to facilitate change through client empowerment.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel across Logan and/or Brisbane region as required.
- Current driver's licence.
- Valid police check.
- Flexibility to work outside core business hours in meeting client needs.
- Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
This role requires a strong commitment to promoting cultural safety and culturally responsive practice.
