Sous Chef

Join the dynamic team at Adelaide Oval as a Sous Chef, where you will be part of a passionate and skilled Kitchen Brigade. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an enthusiastic individual with hands-on experience in a busy venue that prioritizes exceptional food quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Kitchen team by providing support and guidance to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to develop short-term and long-term business objectives, focusing on innovative menu creation and revenue generation.
  • Work closely with Kitchen staff to introduce and implement new menus, ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Oversee inventory control systems, purchasing, and supply chain management to optimize product quality, cost levels, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and implement HACCP plans to maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience in the Food and Beverage industry, preferably within a stadium or large event setting.
  • Assist in menu development and implementation, including function packages and major events.
  • Manage multi-function Food and Beverage operations, including public catering and functions.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and time management skills, ensuring high workloads are met within specified deadlines.
