The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of quality, ensuring the safety of our products, and promoting a culture of excellence within our team.

About the Role

As a Quality Officer, you will be responsible for conducting pre-operative inspections, supporting quality activities, maintaining records, and driving corrective actions. You will also engage with team members to mentor and coach them on food safety disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-operative inspections and swabbing relevant to the sanitation function
  • Support quality activities, including microbiology and audits
  • Maintain and update relevant records and documentation
  • Initiate and facilitate investigation and drive corrective actions and timely close out of incidents
  • Conduct periodic audits of the plant, equipment, and parts to ensure the completion of sanitation activities
  • Engage as a food safety leader on site to mentor and coach team members across the business
Requirements
  • Degree qualification (Food Science or Food Technology preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP, and sanitation practices
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and mentor in food safety disciplines
  • Self-starter with hands-on approach and able to work autonomously and within a team environment
