We are seeking a Technical Officer to play a critical role in supporting Australia's sovereign submarine capability. This is an exciting opportunity to ensure material compliance through technical inspections and verification of quality evidence.

About the Role

As part of our dedicated Supply Quality Control team, you will conduct detailed technical inspections of parts, materials, components and quality evidence received from national and international suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technical inspections and verify quality evidence to ensure compliance with technical specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and provide technical feedback.
  • Document and report inspection outcomes, non-conformances and supplier performance data.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to enhance quality and efficiency.
About You
  • Proven experience in a technical quality control or inspection role within manufacturing, defence or heavy engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Experience with quality evidence and material compliance processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
