As a strategic finance leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organisation's financial systems forward. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing robust ERP systems, working closely with senior finance and IT leaders to ensure seamless processes, reporting, and data flows.

This is a unique opportunity to join a national business undergoing significant transformation, taking on a key role in the rollout of our enterprise resource planning and financial planning and analysis systems. You'll work closely with teams across the country to drive innovative solutions.

In this role, you'll have the autonomy to make a real impact on our finance systems and operations, leveraging your expertise to improve financial processes and controls. If you're a self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this could be your ideal position.

The details

  • Hands-off leadership team providing the space to innovate and grow.
  • Interstate travel required, including regular trips to Brisbane in the first year.
  • Circa $140k + super + laptop + phone (flexibility available for outstanding candidates).
  • Based in Melbourne, AU, 5 days on-site, with flexibility around start/finish times.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and implementing ERP system projects, focusing on Odoo ERP and Jedox FP&A.
  • Translating accounting needs into system functionality, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Configuring and testing workflows, user roles, permissions, and reporting structures.
  • Leading workshops, training sessions, and end-user adoption, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
  • Validating complex revenue cycles, including achieved sales through to WIP and completion.
  • Championing ongoing improvement across finance processes and controls.
  • Collaborating closely with finance managers, IT, and operational teams across the country.

What we're looking for

  • A strong accounting foundation – CA/CPA preferred or equivalent experience.
  • ERP knowledge, with prior Odoo experience highly desirable.
  • Experience in change management, process improvement, and systems adoption.
  • Hands-on system configuration and testing experience.
  • Strong grasp of debits, credits, and accounting flows.
  • Excellent communicator – confident leading training and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, extroverted, and able to work autonomously without micromanagement.
