Designing Positive Change in Public Sector Services

We are seeking a highly experienced Service Designer to join our team at Local Peoples, a strategic research and design studio based in Melbourne and Canberra. As a passionate advocate for human-centered design, you will be excited to work with us in making a positive impact on public sector services.

With extensive experience in design thinking, systems thinking, and agile methodologies, you will create service blueprints, system maps, customer journeys, and support the execution of product or service delivery. Your expertise in conducting customer research, problem-solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions will drive innovation in our projects.

About the Role
  • You will be working as an embedded team member in both contract and ongoing roles, supporting our public sector clients in making a lasting impact.
  • We require your expertise in developing and executing end-to-end customer experience strategies, ensuring that all designs meet accessibility requirements and adhere to WCAG guidelines and public sector design guidelines.
  • Your ability to manage multiple projects effectively, with excellent time management skills, will be essential in meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

The salary for this role is estimated to be $90,000-$110,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
