About the Role

AECOM is seeking a skilled Electrical Design Expert to join our Buildings and Places team in Canberra. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality electrical engineering projects across various sectors.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for developing innovative design solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the delivery of electrical engineering projects, including data centres, defence, commercial, education, and health projects.

You will work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to drive quality through review of design calculations, specifications, and drawings. Additionally, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical advice on complex projects.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality electrical design solutions for a range of projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless project delivery and quality control.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide expert technical advice and guidance.
  • Manage small project teams and lead electrical design and project delivery for major client projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • 5-10+ years' experience working for a Building Services consultancy.
  • A proven track record of technical design and project delivery while maintaining and enhancing client relationships.
  • Necessary qualifications to obtain registration in the ACT and other jurisdictions (e.g. CPEng and/or NER credentials).
  • Experience in running multiple technical projects simultaneously with demonstrable design experience across various market sectors.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to mentor and train younger Engineers within the business.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD, PowerCAD, Revit, MS Office, AGI32.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
