Job Description

As a Category Lead – Indirects, you will play a crucial part in managing allocated indirect spend categories and contributing to key programs related to this strategically important and growing sector.

The role involves developing and implementing category strategies across areas such as IT, Facilities, Legal, Finance, Fleet, and other allocated categories.

Key responsibilities include assisting stakeholders in supply chain and procurement activities, including cost optimisation, purchasing, forecasting, and risk management.

You will also contribute knowledge of supplier markets to improve competitive advantage and service outcomes.

Additionally, you will support the delivery of the Australia Sector supply chain roadmap to ensure alignment with Group Supply Chain processes, systems, and policy.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a Business or Engineering discipline, solid experience in Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain, and demonstrated experience contributing to business or project procurement activities.

Experience with procurement and supply chain models within ERP systems, exposure to integration and transformation programs, and experience in a regulated environment (ideally Defence or ISO regulated) are highly desirable.
