Facilities Officer

Role Overview:

The Facilities Officer is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for ensuring seamless facilities services are provided across three sites.

This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and plays a crucial part in managing day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include coordinating facilities services, advising team members on operational matters, overseeing fleet and stock management, processing invoices, and greeting subcontractors and consultants.

To excel in this role, candidates will possess tertiary qualifications in facilities management or relevant experience, previous building maintenance or facilities experience, an excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience in facilities management is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate facilities services and respond to reactive maintenance requests via our facilities management operating system
  • Provide guidance to team members on financial, technical, and operational matters as required
  • Oversee fleet and stock management, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Process and manage invoices in a timely manner
  • Meet and greet subcontractors and consultants, providing supervision as needed
  • Manage security and building site access through our swipe card access system
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in facilities management or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in building maintenance or facilities management
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to adapt quickly
  • Ability to lift and move office furniture when required
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and administration skills
  • Prior experience in facilities management is highly desirable
  • Valid driving license required for travel to multiple sites
