Seeking a skilled Facilities Management professional to join our dynamic team at a leading University. As a key member of the Facilities Management team, you will work closely with the Facilities Manager to provide exceptional facilities services and contribute to the growth and development of our campus.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing University with campuses across Australia and the world. You will have the chance to work onsite with a fantastic, experienced team and develop your skills in facilities management, project coordination, and contractor management.
The ideal candidate will have a trade background or strong working experience in facilities management, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team. They will also have good computer literacy and knowledge of CMMS systems.
About the Role:
- Communicate with a diverse range of people across the University community, coordinating incoming and onsite contractors, maintaining ongoing communication and updates with the Facilities Management team.
- Support in developing and managing an asset register, performing condition-based asset audits, and maintaining SOPs for Facilities Management.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in managing and formulating budgets and overseeing upcoming and ongoing projects and works.
- Coordinate service contracts, ensuring payments are made and services are rendered as per contractual commitments.
- Manage reports, files, folders, registers, contracts, and communicate with management about expiry and/or service completion/contract obligations, and manage the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct asset condition analysis and inspections, and development of an asset register.
- Support and assist the Facilities Manager with ongoing or upcoming building services and facilities projects.
- Manage external contractors and assist in coordinating, inducing, and supervising incoming contractors.
Required Skills and Attributes:
- A trade background or strong working experience in facilities management.
- Excellent communication, customer service, organisational, and time management skills.
- A strong team player who can work collaboratively and harmoniously in a diverse team.
- Practical experience working in a highly customer service-oriented workplace is highly desirable.
- Good computer literacy and knowledge of CMMS systems.
