Senior Activewear Designer Job Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Senior Activewear Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for creating innovative and compelling product designs that align with our brand's vision, values, and creative direction.

Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for design are essential in driving the success of our activewear range. You will work closely with our Creative Direction team to understand the product vision and community needs, collaborate with merchandise teams to build category ranges through creative concepts and design, and participate in the review and refinement of prototypes and samples.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive technical drawings and specifications that guide the product development process, including construction details, materials, and dimensions. You will also research and evaluate materials, trims, and embellishments to ensure optimal performance, quality, and aesthetic appeal while considering cost and sustainability factors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop innovative and compelling product designs that meet our brand's vision, values, and creative direction.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Direction team to understand product vision and community needs.
  • Work closely with merchandise teams to build category ranges through creative concepts and design.
  • Participate in the review and refinement of prototypes and samples.
  • Research and evaluate materials, trims, and embellishments to ensure optimal performance, quality, and aesthetic appeal.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with activewear fabrics is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with CAD tools and Product Lifecycle Management Software.
