Six Degrees Executive is a leading recruitment agency that specializes in connecting top talent with innovative companies. Our client, a privately-owned pharmaceutical company, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join their team.

About the Role

The Purchasing Coordinator will play a critical role in providing efficient purchasing services to local suppliers and enhancing the organization's ability to optimize its purchasing power and develop external relationships. The role will also involve planning applications with key stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Purchase raw materials from approved suppliers using SAP ERP to support production needs.
  • Provide accurate and timely supply information to other functions of the business participating in the S&OP process, including the Production and Packaging teams.
  • Liaise directly with Production Planning, Packaging Specialist, and Purchasing Manager on any issues that may affect the production plan.
  • Report on Supplier performance and maintain master data.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of Purchasing or Supply/Production planning experience in the Pharmaceutical or FMCG space is a must.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is required.
  • First-class written and verbal communication skills and influencing ability are essential.
  • Strong SAP exposure is necessary.
  • An ability to analyze processes and procedures to ensure that targets are met and standards are adhered to, in line with company policy.
