Renewable Energy Design Lead

About the Role:

The Renewable Energy Design Lead will be responsible for leading and coordinating the design process for renewable energy projects, including solar farms, battery energy storage systems, and wind farm projects.

The role will ensure that designs meet safety, environmental, and operational standards while adhering to project timelines and budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate concept designs for tenders and bids, ensuring all design elements are integrated and aligned.
  • Support the estimating team by generating engineering quantities and RFQ packages for bids.
  • Develop and maintain the Design Plan throughout the tender or project lifecycle and administer the design filing system.
  • Ensure all necessary design reviews, verifications, and validations are planned, conducted, and incorporated into the design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in renewable energy projects, including commercial/industrial solar farms and battery storage systems.
  • Proven design and construction experience in HV Power Systems projects. Ability to develop concept designs for innovative energy solutions.
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental compliance in design and construction.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Autodesk CAD, PSCAD, PVsyst), MS Office Suite, and basic planning/supply chain tools.
