RWE Renewables is driving the growth of renewable energy projects in Australia, and we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of our wind, solar, and battery storage projects.

Your key responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Construction (Australia), you will be allocated to a mixture of projects in both construction and development.
  • You will work closely with our engineering, procurement, and legal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • You will be responsible for project planning, including time, budget, and quality management.
  • You will lead the internal project team, including other project managers, and be directly responsible for the successful outcome of the project.
  • You will manage and supervise consultants and site personnel, as well as external stakeholders, including local liaison, landowners, and council or municipal authorities.
  • You will be responsible for active HSE and QA management, project reporting, and handing over to operations and project wrap-up.

Your profile

  • You have a degree in engineering, typically civil, electrical, or mechanical, or a related discipline.
  • You have approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in project management and construction, ideally in the renewable or energy sector.
  • You have a track record of successful project outcomes across the full life cycle of a multi-million-dollar construction project.
  • You have excellent communication skills and fluent professional English.
  • You have good project management, leadership, and interpersonal skills, as well as a team player attitude.
  • You are flexible and willing to learn new skills.
  • You have knowledge of Australian HSE regulations and standards.
  • You are proficient in MS Office tools, including MS Project.
  • You are willing to travel.
