About the Position: The Head of Government Relations will report to the President of Brisbane 2032, working closely with their Chief of Staff, and be responsible for developing and implementing Brisbane 2032's government relations strategy. This role will proactively manage key external relationships with government departments across all levels of government, developing key relationships with government stakeholders to advance Brisbane 2032's priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing Brisbane 2032's government relations strategy
  • Proactively managing key external relationships with government departments across all levels of government
  • Developing key relationships with government stakeholders to advance Brisbane 2032's priorities
  • Maintaining positive working relationships with other key stakeholders
  • Handling enquiries from government officials
  • Managing correspondence between the President and government bodies

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will bring a degree in Public Policy, Communications, Business Administration, or other relevant field, as well as demonstrated experience in advising a politician or senior government/business official. You will also have excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a high performing team environment.
