The Role

This role drives business expansion, building frameworks for the Business Development team. You'll lead, enable and optimise your team, empowering them with structure, strategy and resources for effective sales execution.

You'll play a key role in shaping sales strategy, refining processes and fostering a high-performance team. This is a leadership role with hands-on involvement where needed, strengthening key relationships, refining sales approach or supporting major opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Development – Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing Business Development team.
  • New Business Acquisition – Drive new business acquisition by refining and executing strategies to secure new employer clients.
  • High-Impact Sales Execution – Support and drive major sales opportunities, ensuring high-impact deals are effectively executed.
  • Sales Strategy & Frameworks – Refine sales strategies and frameworks, including scripting, objection handling and KPI tracking.
  • Sales Structures & Processes – Build and implement sales structures and processes to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability.
  • Performance & Pipeline Management – Monitor sales performance and pipeline, identifying gaps and providing solutions to optimise results.
  • Reporting & Insights – Develop reporting frameworks to track key sales metrics and provide insights to leadership.
  • Strategic Decision-Making – Drive strategic decision-making by compiling insightful reports for executive management and the Board.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Collaborate with internal teams to align sales efforts with business goals, marketing strategies and operational improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement – Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, training and overall team effectiveness.
