Job Summary

The primary role of this position is to oversee a team of environmental engineering specialists, estimate project staffing requirements, and schedule tasks. The successful candidate will prepare detailed estimates and work plans, review and approve environmental engineering investigations and studies, and drive the implementation of recommendations to minimize the environmental impact of engineering projects.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Develops and directs Environmental Engineering activities on small to medium-sized projects or portions of major projects with minimal to moderate complexity.
  • Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned personnel, estimates staffing needs, and schedules work accordingly.
  • Provides technical input to meet procurement requirements.
  • Prepares or oversees the preparation of Environmental Engineering discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations for the Environmental Engineering aspects of bid evaluations and awards.
  • Coordinates with client representatives to obtain approval of Environmental Engineering aspects of work.
  • Reviews and approves key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders.
  • Ensures that assigned Environmental Engineering personnel receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations, evaluation and optimization skills, experience in bottleneck improvement projects, collaboration and coordination skills, and experience in mining projects.
