Environmental Sustainability Specialist.

Job Description:

This is a hands-on, site-based role that directly contributes to sustainable project delivery. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring environmental compliance and maintaining high standards for all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental management plans aligning with legislative requirements and company standards.
  • Manage and maintain environmental permits and approvals.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
  • Collect and interpret environmental site data to support reporting and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and deliver environmental inductions and training to construction and operations personnel.
  • Provide day-to-day environmental support and advice to project managers and site staff.
  • Report audit outcomes and compliance findings to the Construction and Project Managers.
  • Support targeted initiatives around dust, waste, vegetation, and biodiversity management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of environmental advisory experience in a construction, mining, or heavy infrastructure setting.
  • Strong understanding of WA environmental legislation, approvals processes, and compliance obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a site-based, fast-paced construction environment.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and influence compliance outcomes.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Driving license.
