We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Environmental Consultants to join our Environmental Impact & Assessment team based in Melbourne. The team delivers strategic advice, environmental impact assessments, and approvals across multiple sectors in Australia.

You will work alongside local specialist teams and the wider APAC team to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across various sectors.

About the Role

The successful applicant will have 6-10 years of experience working in consulting, government, or industry delivering environmental impact assessments and approvals.

You will support senior project managers in delivering large multidisciplinary projects. Our team works on various projects including wind farms, transmission/network infrastructure, hydrogen facilities, sustainable waste recovery, and mining across APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals.
  • Be an all-round key support person for large projects and take responsibility for your own projects.
  • Work with the Planning and Assessment Service Line partnering with Environmental Consultants, Urban Planners, GIS experts, and Social Impact Specialists across Australia.
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes for clients focusing on quality.
  • Assist with preparing fee proposals and reports.
  • Prepare environmental approvals documentation.

Requirements

  • A professional qualification in environmental science, planning, or engineering.
  • 6-10 years of experience at a professional level, ideally in consulting.
  • Experience delivering environmental effects assessments and approvals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approval processes outside of Victoria is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong time management skills managing multiple deliverables on competing timeframes.
  • A clear, concise writing style.

Salary and Benefits
