
Senior Transport Compliance Specialist

As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of our deliveries and adherence to the National Heavy Vehicle Law.
You will develop and review workplace health and safety processes and procedures, working closely with operations teams to implement them effectively.
Reporting directly to the Executive team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe work environment for staff, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Develop audit plans and undertake regular subcontractor audits to ensure full compliance with legislation, company policy, and procedures.
- Develop and regularly review company policies and procedures, ensuring operational guidelines are up-to-date, effective, and aligned with current laws and industry standards.
- Assist with staff training and implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Ensure prompt reporting, thorough documentation, and rigorous investigation of incidents to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage transport and logistics compliance functions.
- Ensure compliance with NHVR and WH&S standards.
- Coordinate tasks, manage time efficiently, and maintain attention to detail.
- Implement new work practices, systems, and procedures.
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, proven ability to manage transport and logistics compliance functions.
Demonstrated experience in NHVR and WH&S standards.
Good written, numeracy, and literacy skills.
Strong administrative skills, including time management and coordination of tasks.
High level of interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Proven team management and leadership skills in a challenging environment.
