Job Description

We are seeking a Texture Specialist to join our team and be part of this exciting opportunity.

The ideal candidate will work independently and with the production team to execute the desired look of complicated CG models, including complex creatures and/or hard surface models.

  • Collaborate with VFX Supervisor, Texture Supervisor, and Look Dev Supervisor to achieve the desired look.
  • Determine design solutions and provide feedback to other members of the production by attending regular dailies.
  • Mentor Junior and mid-level Artists.
  • Meet deadlines and produce high-quality work while maintaining or exceeding consistent productivity levels.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • At least three years of relevant professional VFX experience and a college-level diploma or higher in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography, or related field; OR at least five years of relevant professional VFX experience.
  • A demo reel and portfolio illustrating understanding and experience in painting, illustration, or design.
  • Familiarity with film production and computer graphics.
  • Proficient in Maya, Mari, ZBrush, Photoshop, and UV unwrapping tools.
  • Ability to navigate complex pipelines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly and assimilate new information.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills

Modeling skills and Katana/Look Dev knowledge are a plus.

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience.
