About the Role

The successful candidate will design and implement a bold, future-focused fundraising strategy that underpins our ambitious conservation goals. This will involve managing and growing a high-performing fundraising and communications team, preparing and delivering a major capital campaign, and championing donor retention and engagement practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a long-term fundraising strategy delivering growth and sustainability.
  • Lead multiple income streams including regular giving, major donors, grants, corporates, and campaigns.
  • Mentor and build high-performing teams with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Budget planning, forecasting, and financial management expertise.
  • Craft compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications with strong writing skills.
  • A collaborative, empathetic leadership style with ability to work effectively with CEOs, Boards, partners, and donors.
  • Deep commitment to conservation, environmental protection, and social justice outcomes.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess experience in developing and implementing long-term fundraising strategies, proven success across multiple income streams, and strong leadership and team management skills. They will also have confidence in budget planning, forecasting, and financial management, as well as strong communication skills and a deep commitment to conservation and social justice outcomes.
