The Clifford Wallace Agency seeks an experienced Culinary Assistant to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a strong background in assisting chefs in large production kitchens with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping, as well as maintaining a clean, hygienic, and orderly kitchen environment.

As a Culinary Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting our chefs in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. This includes:

  • Working closely with our culinary team to prepare ingredients, cook meals, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation;
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety protocols, and participating in regular cleaning schedules;
  • Assisting with food inventory management, ordering supplies, and receiving deliveries;
  • Supporting our catering and events teams by preparing and serving meals at external events and functions;

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You should also be highly organized, able to multitask, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or equivalent role in catering or hotels, as well as experience operating a commercial dishwasher. A Food Handling Certificate, Working With Children Check, and National Police Check are highly desirable.
