Role Description

As a Lecturer of Master of Counselling, you will be responsible for developing, delivering, and enhancing the program while ensuring compliance with Higher Education Standards Framework.

You will ensure a high-quality experience by mapping to units delivered in the program. Staying current with principles and best practices is essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and conduct teaching sessions and learning materials.
  • Develop learning materials including study guides and assessment instructions for assigned subjects.
  • Provide study assistance to students in various modes.
  • Encourage student engagement.
  • Mark student assessments.
  • Identify and liaise with students at risk.
  • Maintain subject sites on the Learning Management System
Qualifications and Skills

About You

  • A postgraduate qualification or higher in counselling or similar fields (PhD preferred).
  • 3 years of postgraduate experience as a Counsellor or similar.
  • Experience teaching at a tertiary level is preferred but not necessary.
  • Passion for teaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and administer subject delivery.
  • Eligible for membership of a professional association related to Counselling.
