Financial Operations Leader

Leading Financial Excellence in Commercial Constructions

The successful candidate will spearhead all financial aspects of commercial construction operations, closely collaborating with the General Manager and construction managers to ensure seamless processes and effective financial management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and implement robust financial controls and processes around job estimating, cost management, and progress claims
  • Mentor a small team of finance professionals to support commercial construction operations
  • Closely collaborate with the finance business partner to align systems and processes across the group
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Prepare comprehensive annual budgets and ongoing forecasts for commercial construction entities
  • Analyse job variances and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Treasury & Working Capital Management:
  • Develop weekly cash forecasts and analyse variations in working capital requirements
  • Approve AP payments and ensure timely payment to key suppliers
  • Month End:
  • Review and analyse monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow movements against budget and reforecasts
  • Present financial information to senior management during monthly meetings
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • University degree in accounting or similar major
  • CA or CPA membership
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role and industry
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines
