We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of Auxiliary Firefighters. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland.

About the Role:

  • You will respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through community education activities.
  • You will develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses, ensuring you have the skills to operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status
  • Manual C Class driver's licence
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station

Working Conditions:

You can expect to attend 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours. You will also be required to participate in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs.
