About the Role

As a skilled Small Engine Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work on various John Deere Agricultural and Turf machinery. This hands-on role involves diagnosing machine faults, working on engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components.

You will be responsible for detecting and diagnosing machine faults, repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.

This position also requires performing scheduled maintenance and services in accordance with John Deere standards and procedures.

Additionally, you will test and adjust mechanical parts after repair for proper performance, diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers, and document system information and repairs completed on work orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Detecting and diagnosing machine faults
  • Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and services
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts
  • Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to work well in a team, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Small engine experience is essential for this role.
