Key Position: Intelligence Team Leader

This role is responsible for leading an intelligence team engaged in analysis of collected and collated information to produce and disseminate strategic insights that influence organisational decision-making at all levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading and managing an intelligence team to provide tactical, operational and strategic analysis to inform critical resource allocation decisions.
  • Developing strategies and plans for an intelligence team to achieve business objectives and ensure all resources are effectively directed.
  • Supporting and developing team members in their professional development and coaching and mentoring team members in leadership roles.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external networks, particularly key partners across law enforcement and intelligence agencies.
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of the intelligence environment and relevant legislation.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship at the time of application.
  • Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of intelligence concepts and methods.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of intelligence practitioners within a law enforcement agency, intelligence, defence, federal or state government agency.
  • Proven ability to set strategic direction and deliver outcomes.
