We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead a Compliance team, ensuring safe and compliant deliveries across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia.

About the Role

This is a pivotal position in maintaining a safe work environment for staff, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders. As our National Compliance Manager, you'll be responsible for reviewing and developing workplace health and safety processes and procedures, working closely with operations teams to ensure implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with operations teams to ensure subcontractors and internal staff adhere to the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
  • Develop audit plans and conduct regular subcontractor audits to maintain compliance standards.
  • Review and update company policies and procedures to ensure alignment with current laws and industry standards.
  • Assist with training staff and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Compile and present detailed reports on compliance matters to senior management.
  • Support sales and account management processes related to Compliance policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, managing a transport and logistics compliance function.
  • Demonstrated experience in NHVR and WHS standards.
  • Strong administrative skills, including time management and coordination.
  • High attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven team management and leadership skills, promoting HSSE responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to implement new work practices, systems, and procedures.
  • Self-motivated, efficient, proactive, and professional with a respect for confidentiality.
  • Prepared to travel regularly.
