Quality Assurance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality products by defining, developing and executing processes that meet quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will work in a modern manufacturing environment supporting incoming inspection, in-process inspection and end-of-line inspection.
  • You will lead material review board processes to ensure timely resolution of non-conformances.
  • You will lead supplier quality assurance activities, including supplier development, qualification (PPAP/FAI), ongoing verification.
  • You will propose, develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to support AS9100/ISO9001 certification.
  • You will support ongoing development of manufacturing work instructions.
  • You will review and propose continuous improvement projects for productivity gains, quality improvements, and benefits to our quality policy.
  • You will support the calibration process of test equipment, jigs and fixtures.
  • You will support internal and external audits on processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar technical field.
  • Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality in aerospace/defense/maritime or similar hardware.
  • Working knowledge of design review and quality management of PCBA, harnessing, avionics, systems integration, composites, propulsion systems and welding.
  • Experience driving product quality and performance requirements to test and measurement system development and optimization.
  • Working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) elements such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes.
  • A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive projects from start to completion.
  • Analytical skills and experiences for data mining, data quality, metrics generation, issue management systems, and statistical analysis tools (MatLab, JMP, MiniTab, etc)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance.
