The Family Participation Program aims to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families by providing independent support when child protection concerns arise. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering culturally strong services and reducing the disproportionate representation of Indigenous children in the child protection system.
- Develop effective relationships with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander families, understanding their unique needs and circumstances.
- Implement high-quality case management practices, meeting performance targets and promoting positive outcomes for families.
- Empower families through targeted interventions, enabling them to meaningfully participate in decision-making processes affecting their lives.
- Serve as a lead case worker for all Child Safety matters involving supported families, fostering collaboration and trust.
- Adhere to ATSICHS' quality management systems, ensuring exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate seamless integration with the Family Support System and internal services, enhancing the overall client experience.
- Provide crisis care support and cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, promoting a culture of cooperation, respect, and diversity.
