About the Role

This exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist Service Manager or Healthcare Manager to join the team in providing exceptional pharmaceutical management services to internal staff and pharmacists in the coastal areas between Sunshine Coast and Townsville, QLD.

  • Current AHPRA Registration and experience as a Pharmacist are essential.
  • The successful candidate can expect a salary of $100,000 - $120,000 per annum, plus a travel allowance.
  • Located in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Key Responsibilities

The Pharmaceutical Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supervising pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel.
  • Assigning duties and ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient needs.
  • Monitoring the quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical services provided to patients.
  • Addressing any patient concerns or inquiries, especially those related to medications.
  • Overseeing inventory control, ensuring that medications are well-stocked, organised, and within expiration dates.
  • Coordinating with suppliers to order pharmaceuticals and supplies as needed.
  • Implementing and enforcing pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting periodic quality assessments and audits.
  • Managing medication error reporting and investigation processes.
  • Implementing strategies to reduce medication errors and improve patient safety.
  • Managing the pharmacy's budget, including tracking expenses and revenue.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and revenue-enhancing initiatives.
  • Providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities for pharmacy staff.
  • Performing employee evaluations and addressing performance issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting requirements.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Past experience as a Pharmacy Service Manager.
  • Past experience as a Pharmacist or Senior Pharmacist.
  • Past experience as a retail manager.
  • Past experience working at a pharmacy or chemist.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent initiative and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with support teams and pharmacists.
  • Strong organisational skills and time management.
  • Willingness to travel from store to store along the coast of QLD.
  • Australian police check.
